About Haskell Kimball

Haskell’s dad left early on after his inception, at which time Gwen took up with a fella who shared her appreciation for her musical tastes and even played a bit of guitar as a hobby. Their home was filled with Eddie (of course), Elvis, Buddy and Rick Nelson as well as Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Roger Miller and Vince Gill, so Haskell was unknowingly indoctrinated with the ‘Classics’ and found himself strumming stepdad’s guitar and mimicking those sounds at social gatherings in and around Clarkesville.

Our Story

He wrote songs but never had the courage to present them and after a brief stint as a semi pro football player, made his living as a delivery driver for an auto dealer. His new career path (music) was stumbled upon when a friend who was an entertainer known as ‘Thee Duke’ asked him if he’d be willing to act as stage hand/merchandiser for him on a European/UK 14 show tour in 2017, knowing ‘Haskell’ had vacation time coming and was at the time, socially unattached. Always enamored by the music business and curious about life on the road and this being international, he leapt at the opportunity and thus began an unlikely musical beginning.

The work was new and somewhat challenging, but he soaked up every nuance of the position and the relationship Duke had established with his audience. When the tour came to the final stop (London’s Dublin Castle in the Camden borough), Duke was ailing and rather than cancel the appearance, he asked if Haskell would want to appear in his place if the venue was agreeable? And although a bit nervous, he accepted, as did the venue and proceeded to win over an audience playing a style foreign to most of the patrons. After returning home, he began his stage career in earnest and established himself quite nicely in the Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri markets, as well as a return trip to the UK, until…COVID! But after a temporary stall in ‘live’ performance, he proceeded to perform in the ‘free’ states of South Dakota (who never shut down), Missouri and Florida, taking jobs others were too afraid to in fear of getting sick.

A music store showcasing a wide array of electric guitars and a keyboard. The guitars, displayed on the wall, are in a variety of vivid colors including blue, red, orange, and natural wood finishes. The store is well-lit, highlighting the glossy finishes of the instruments. Ceiling lights and branding signs are visible, adding to the commercial music shop setting.

The blend of cowboy country and rock and roll is fantastic! Haskell's charm shines through every detail.

A man with long hair plays a guitar while seated in a casual outdoor setting. Another person, a woman with a floral dress, sits nearby appearing engaged and possibly clapping or tapping along with the music. A few other individuals are standing in the background, one holding a drink. The environment looks relaxed and informal, with a small counter and chalkboard menus suggesting a café or bar setting.
